Products: bio-ConneKt
The bio-ConneKt® Wound Matrix is a collagen-based wound dressing for the local management of moderately to heavily exuding wounds. It is indicated for use wherever there is breach of the skin. Some of the common types of wounds where bio-ConneKt® Wound Matrix has been used include: full and partial thickness wounds, draining wounds, tunneling wounds, pressure sores/ulcers, venous ulcers, chronic vascular ulcers, diabetic ulcers, trauma wounds (e.g. abrasions, lacerations, partial thickness burns, skin tears), and surgical wounds (e.g. donor sites/grafts, post-laser surgery, post-Mohs’ surgery, podiatric wounds, dehisced surgical incisions).
Wound Closure vs. Management
bio-ConneKt® Wound Matrix is succeeding at chronic wound resolution when other treatments fail. Its unique properties deliver a robust medical solution that handles several complications of the chronic wound environment such as senescent cells, corrupt scaffolding, poor oxygen and blood supply in addition to incessant infection and abnormal inflammatory response. At times being used as a last resort, bio-ConneKt® Wound Matrix has assisted in reducing the need for amputations. Wounds that struggle to heal or require assistance to heal are bio-ConneKt® Wound Matrix’s specialty. Add to all of those things its ability to lower “total wound healing costs”, it’s no surprise that patients, doctors, and administrators are choosing bio-ConneKt® Wound Matrix. The bottom line is better for all stakeholders.
